Sourdough bread, fluffy buns, cakes so covered in toppings you can barely see them... If you're already salivating, save our selection of newly opened bakeries. You'll find them all over Prague, and they're all worth a visit.

A bakery and kitchen full of life

Visit Eska in Karlín. Everry day, we bake our renowned bread 33, along with sweet buns, cakes and kolache. On Fridays, our bread 66 is available until it sells out – and if you're not in the mood for baked goods, come for a lunch of local produce, or one of our famous breakfasts, which are prepared until late afternoon. Oh, and don't forget to take a look round our shop on the way out.
Find out more on our website.

Zrno zrnko, Revoluční 16

Popular bakery chain Zrno zrnko has opened its eighth location. You'll find it right on Revoluční Street, where new businesses abound. But the concept of this branch is a little different than you're used to – it also functions as a bistro. Whether you want a quick coffee, a slow brunch with friends, a business meeting, or an afternoon glass of wine, this is the place to be.

Solo Bakery, Belhradská 66

They've brought a slice of Copenhagen to Prague and their breakfast plate has been flooding Instagram. This bakery in Vinohrady became a hit as soon as it opened. Saffron or cardamom buns, savoury sourdough rolls, pistachio granola with miso, honey and brown butter... All the goodies. The flour they use is from Dubecko mill and the French from Moulins Viron, a family-run mill just outside Paris.

Hvězda Bakery, Na Petřinách 82

Such an artisan bakery was really missing in Petřiny! The focus here is mainly bread, but they also bake rolls, baguettes and sweet pastries every day – buns, cinnamon swirls, classic "loupáky", and cakes. If it's true that the morning sets you up for the day, it's doubly true here!

Eska Letná, Veletržní 42

A bakery with a shop and coffee. Besides the famous bread 33 (and on Fridays also bread 66), the younger sister of Eska in Karlin offers loaves, cakes and buns. There are also a few smaller breakfasts and snacks on the menu, and of course a selection of coffee and a well-stocked shop. Here you can buy home cooking products, eggs, hams and preserves and other products from trusted suppliers.
